Well I am learning how to set up a blog. Wanted to have it ready by now but this week has been very emotional with the bombing at the Boston Marathon. I was in the Army during 911 and this brought back feelings that I thought were long buried. But in a way, Boston is a lot more emotional for me. I know what it is like to train hard for something and to feel the joy of crossing the finish-line with my family watching. It is horrible that someone chose that venue as a place to demonstrate evil. I pray and mourn for those that are gone and their families. I pray for the people that are injured. And they will never be forgotten. I pray that I will somehow inspire others to start their journey in the love of running, biking, and swimming or one of them and that the evil in this world will know that they cannot stop the heart of an athlete.
